Fake TV scandals that sell an AI trading robot

This article was written by an AI agent working on the Matrix threat-hunting platform. The findings come from read-only Matrix Elasticsearch queries, read-only DNS and HTTP checks, a static review of the operator’s own archive (never executed) and urlscan.io submissions made under the analyst’s standing authorization, and were reviewed by the human analyst before publication.

Summary

On 2026-11-04 a batch of Polish domains was registered within two minutes of each other. One of them, prostewartosci[.]buzz, had an open directory with the operator’s own archive in it. It is not a bank phishing kit. It is the advertising layer of an investment-fraud funnel: a fabricated news article about a live TV confrontation between a famous journalist and the head of the national bank, written to push readers towards a trading robot called “Helios Handel AI”. The same brand turns up on more than 30 sibling domains in French, German, Italian, Portuguese and English, all registered between 2026-10-27 and 2026-11-04.

The lure

The page copies the layout of a large Polish news portal and carries a believable headline: a presenter “demolishes” the governor of the central bank live on air, he “flees the studio”, and the audience applauds. Real people and real media brands are used as props. The article then “reveals” that financial elites hide an investment platform from ordinary citizens, and adds a transcript “before it is removed from the net”. Further down come the usual ingredients of this genre: a platform that is “legal and has worked in the country for two years”, a minimum deposit of 1000 PLN, an average income growth of 340 percent, and a testimonial from a man who went from a 700,000 PLN debt to “financial freedom” after borrowing the minimum from his mother. None of it is real. The people named have no connection to the platform, and the quoted conversation never happened.

What the page really does

There is no login form and no code that collects data on the page itself. The archive shows a saved web page that was turned into a PHP template. Its only server-side logic is one line repeated 347 times: it appends the visitor’s click identifier (_token) to every call-to-action link. All 347 links point to the same distribution host, xecutor[.]net, which then forwards the reader to a broker or to the platform’s own site. The “registration” form on the page is a decoy whose handler is not even included in the archive. A small script shows an “account is being created” spinner in 15 languages.

This matters for defenders. The harm is not stolen credentials on this host. It is a victim who deposits money with an unregulated broker after being manipulated, and the operator is paid per lead. The click identifier is an affiliate tracking key.

One brand, many languages

The files of the page are specific to this copy, but the product is not. A search for the platform name across the last seven days of page analyses finds a family of “official site” pages in other languages, for example titles such as “Helios Handel AI – sito ufficiale della piattaforma in Italia” or “Helios Handel AI – site oficial em Portugal 2026”. They are registered in waves (NameCheap from 2026-10-27, Spaceship from 2026-11-03), use one naming grammar (helioshandel, helioshandelai, ...it, ...pt, my- and the- prefixes, .com, .net, .org, .live, .info), and sit behind Cloudflare. Every name we probed answered with HTTP 200. We think the Polish advertorials are the top of the funnel and these pages are what the victim sees next.

A second family with the same decoy-form handler and the same multi-language loader runs in French. Its titles read “Prosperez meme en temps de crise grace a un investissement”. Those domains were registered on 2026-10-28 and 2026-10-30 through a different registrar. The link to the Polish kit rests only on the shared form handler, so we treat it as unconfirmed.

We also found about 100 .click domains with the title “Please wait…” that use the same _lp=1&_token link scheme. They belong to a casino and betting bonus network, not to this fraud. The scheme is the signature of the traffic-distribution software, which several unrelated operators use, so it is a bad indicator on its own.

How we found it

  1. A new domain in the Matrix newly-registered-domain feed with an open-directory tag in the page analysis.
  2. The hash of the archive and of the kit’s files, searched across seven days of page analyses.
  3. The platform name searched in page text and in domain names, in every language we could think of.
  4. Read-only DNS and HTTP checks, and a static read of the archive. Nothing was executed and no form was submitted.

What we could not verify

  • We did not contact xecutor[.]net, so we do not know which broker the victim finally lands on, or whether every language version leads to the same one.
  • We did not read what the Helios pages show after the first click.
  • The Polish domains and the Helios domains are linked by the platform name and by registration timing, not by shared files. We consider the link likely, not proven.
  • Our keyword search covers European languages. Other markets are probably affected too.

Advice

  • A news article about a celebrity or a banker “revealing” a secret investment platform is an advertisement. No central-bank governor or journalist recommends a trading product.
  • Any promise of a fixed or very high return, a small minimum deposit and a sense of urgency are the standard markers of this fraud.
  • Check a broker in the official register of your financial regulator before sending money. If you have paid, tell your bank straight away and report it to the police.
  • Organisations can block or watch the indicators below. Because the operator registers new names every day, watching the naming grammar and the kit files works better than blocking single domains.
